About the Conference. The NJACTE Day of Assessment conference is part of our overall efforts to increase chapter engagement providing a valuable opportunity for faculty, staff, administrators, and students to come together and learn from each other on various aspects of assessment in educator preparation. The Day of Assessment began as an in-person event, and in recent years it has shifted to a virtual format that has enabled participation from a wider geographic area across the mid-Atlantic region. NJACTE welcomes attendees from all states to join in the networking, collaboration, and shared learning. Each year the conference features a keynote or panel discussion, followed by concurrent presentations by our members and other colleagues in the field.
We invite you to submit a proposal. Please also consider sharing this announcement with your professional networks. All are welcome. You do not have to be a member of NJACTE to present. Possible topics could include the following:
- Case studies to measure impact of P-12 student learning
- Best practices with collecting and using stakeholder feedback
- Focus groups for candidate/alumni/employer feedback
- State models for data collection
- Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for assessment and analysis
- Hosting a successful site visit (in-person or virtual)
- Other topics related to assessment and/or accreditation of educator preparation programs
Proposals will be peer reviewed and evaluated using the following criteria:
* Session supports an educative approach to best practices in assessment.
* Session aligns with the conference theme.
* Session encourages thoughtful dialogue, action, or reflection.
* Session contains ideas that are thoughtful and well-supported by evidence, experience, or theory.
* Session proposal is well-written, clear, and complete.
The deadline for all proposals is January 15, 2026. Notification of decisions will be sent by mid-February. The virtual conference is planned for Tuesday, March 24, 2026, starting at 12:30 noon (EST). The schedule has yet to be determined; however, each session will be approximately 30 minutes for the presentation, and an additional 10-15 minutes reserved for discussion and questions.
We look forward to learning from one another’s experiences, ideas, and research on assessment practice, as well as sharing in examples of practical application of assessment.
NOTE: The conference is FREE to attend, but you must be registered by March 22, 2026 to receive the meeting links. All attendees and presenters must register.
