Call for Proposals
The 8th Annual New Jersey Diversifying the Teacher Workforce Convening is a conversation among educational stakeholders aimed at creating and sustaining an educator workforce reflective of the cultural and linguistic diversity of New Jersey students.
This year’s theme is Expanding the Conversation – Neurodiversity in Policy, Practice, and Pedagogy.
Proposals may address, but are not limited to, the following themes:
- Examination of the impact of school culture and climate on the job satisfaction, well-being, and sense of belonging among neurodivergent educators and staff.
- Exploration of effective strategies and interventions for creating inclusive school environments that support, attract, and retain neurodivergent students and educators.
- Investigation of how leadership, policies, and organizational structures influence school culture and climate in relation to neurodiversity, accessibility, and equitable practices.
- Assessment of culturally responsive and neurodiversity-affirming practices within schools and their effects on educational outcomes and inclusive professional environments.

Conference Details:
October 9, 2025: Week 1 In-Person Session at Bloomfield College of Montclair State University from 8:30 – 3:00pm
October 14, 2025: Virtual Week 2 Session 4:00-5:15 PM
October 21, 2025: Virtual Session Week 3 Session 4:00-5:15 PM
Registration Costs: $25.00 for all 3 conferences
