2025 8th Annual Diversifying the Teacher Workforce Convening

The 8th Annual New Jersey Diversifying the Teacher Workforce Convening is a conversation among educational stakeholders aimed at creating and sustaining an educator workforce reflective of the cultural and linguistic diversity of New Jersey students. 

We are proud to announce the Week 3 panelists for the Diversifying the Teacher Workforce Conference.

This year’s theme, “Expanding the Conversation – Neurodiversity in Policy, Practice, and Pedagogy,” centers on the importance of creating inclusive, responsive, and equitable spaces for educators and students alike. The conference brings together thought leaders, practitioners, and policymakers who are working to transform the way we understand and support neurodiversity across education.

Conference Schedule:

October 9, 2025 – Week 1 In-Person Session at Bloomfield College of Montclair State University (8:30 AM – 3:00 PM)

October 14, 2025 – Week 2 Virtual Session (4:00 – 5:15 PM)

October 21, 2025 – Week 3 Virtual Session (4:00 – 5:15 PM)

Call for Proposals

Proposals may address, but are not limited to, the following themes:

  1. Examination of the impact of school culture and climate on the job satisfaction, well-being, and sense of belonging among neurodivergent educators and staff.
  2. Exploration of effective strategies and interventions for creating inclusive school environments that support, attract, and retain neurodivergent students and educators.
  3. Investigation of how leadership, policies, and organizational structures influence school culture and climate in relation to neurodiversity, accessibility, and equitable practices.
  4. Assessment of culturally responsive and neurodiversity-affirming practices within schools and their effects on educational outcomes and inclusive professional environments.
