6th Annual Diversifying the Teacher Workforce Convening Program

The 6th Annual New Jersey Convening for Diversifying the Teacher Workforce is a conversation among educational stakeholders aimed at creating and sustaining an educator workforce reflective of the cultural and linguistic diversity of New Jersey students.

This year’s theme is Retaining a Diverse Workforce: Teachers are Talking. Are You Listening?

Strategies offered by P-12 teachers and educators can elevate our collective understanding of what helps teachers stay connected and engaged.
This series of meetings is designed to engage stakeholders and constituents will focus on understanding how school culture and climate can support and affirm a diverse teacher workforce. Proposal submissions from P-12 teacher leaders, professional development directors and providers, teacher affinity groups, PLC leaders, teacher mentors, and higher education partnerships and institutions should discuss their strategies for what works in their efforts to retain marginalized teachers. Submissions that highlight the voices of P-12 educators and retention methods will be prioritized.

Proposal Deadline: September 10, 2023

Proposal Decisions: September 22, 2023
